The drum type shot blasting machine mainly uses the high-speed rotating impeller to throw the shots onto the continuously tumbling workpieces within the drum, thereby achieving the purpose of cleaning the workpieces. This falls under the category of casting machinery. It is suitable for sand cleaning, rust removal, oxide scale removal, and surface strengthening of castings and forgings below 15 kilograms in various industries. The tumble belt type shot blasting machine is ideal equipment for cleaning the surface residual sand and oxide scales of workpieces in small heat treatment workshops. It mainly consists of a drum, separator, shot blaster, elevator, reducer motor, and other components.
Load the prescribed quantity of workpieces into the cleaning chamber. After the machine is started, the shot blaster throws the shots at high speed, forming a stream of shot that evenly strikes the workpiece surfaces, thereby achieving the purpose of cleaning and strengthening. The thrown shots and sand particles flow into the elevator, which elevates them to the separator for separation. Dust is sucked by the fan into the dust collector for filtration, and clean air is discharged into the atmosphere. Dust on the cloth bag is mechanically shaken off into the dust collector's bottom dust collection box, which users can periodically clean out. Waste sand flows out via a waste pipe and can be reused by the user. The shot-sand mixture is recovered by a recovery pipe into the chamber body, then separated and reused by the separator, while clean shots enter the shot blaster through the electromagnetic supply gate to blast the workpieces. The material machine uses a reducer to drive the wire rope roller, lifting the hopper to a certain height with the steel cable, allowing materials to be smoothly fed into the shot-blasting chamber. The hopper has upper and lower limit positions, and the circuit is designed with an interlock to prevent dangerous mishandling. The discharging machine uses a belt conveyor method, which offers advantages over vibration dischargers such as smaller vibration, lower noise, faster discharging speed, and easier maintenance. The shot-blasting chamber door adopts an electric switch mode, saving operational space and facilitating electrical interlocking.
Annual Maintenance:
Overhaul all motor bearings;
Check the lubrication of all bearings and add new grease; check the rust condition of the drum's air duct and the accumulation of oil on the inner walls.
Replace or weld the protective plates in the shooting zone;
Overhaul the dust collector, replace if damaged, and clean if excessively dusty.
Quarterly Maintenance:
Check the fastening of all fixed bolts and flange connections of motors, sprockets, fans, and screw conveyors;
Check the condition of bearings and electrical control boxes;
Use new high-speed grease to replace the bearings on the main bearing seat of the shot blaster;
Check the wear condition of the protective plates in the industrial shot blaster.
Monthly Maintenance:
Check if the transmission parts are running normally and lubricate the chain;
Check the wear and fastening conditions of fans and air ducts;
Check the fastening condition of bolts at various components' connections.
